Build Capacities and Awareness

IGES aims to create a gender-aware and gender just environment on the campus. It builds awareness through interactive and informative materials, modules and guidelines on experiences related to gender, sexuality, gender-based violence, sexual harassment at the workplace, and basic rights and responsibilities.

It organises sessions, training and workshops, lecture series, and film screenings for students, staff and faculty members to build their understanding and critical perspective on deep-rooted social issues that cause multiple forms of inequalities.

IGES has organised 33 workshops across 15 departments and units at IIT Delhi in the last two years, on Gender Sensitisation and  Sexual Harassment with 79 faculty, 300 staff, 200 security and 1100 student members. To read more click for our report.
