Initiatives

IGES acts as a nodal body for building capacities and generating awareness on gender and sexual harassment at the workplace in the campus.

It works in close partnership with IIT Delhi departments and administration to make ‘gender’ integral to various aspects of life at the Institute. It aims to create a gender-aware and gender-just environment in the campus by bringing change in mindsets and shift in perspectives with the overarching aim to excel in technological creation, innovation, development and research. 

It encourages dialogues with multiple stakeholders to understand the barriers that limit women and people of marginalised gender identities to access, engage and lead the STEM fields, to make the Institute and academic spaces more diverse and inclusive. IGES is the focal point for all gender related information, queries, discussions, confusions, complaints and ideas!
